Hi Jen, thanks for doing this. Let's start by finding out
what you did
before the adult internet and how you became involved?
EPICJEN:
I have worked in Audiotext since 1992. My connections in Audiotext
led me
to work in adult internet in 2001. Amazing that I used to
be the YOUNGEST
person in this biz... now I am getting well, to not be the
youngest.
JBM:
What's your favorite part of this business?
EPICJEN:
I like so much about this biz. I like the people, the fun
atmosphere
etc... but most importantly I like the unexpected challenge
it brings.
You never know what hurdle will come next or what needs to
be done to
cross it.
JBM:
What's been your biggest dissapointment?
EPICJEN:
I can name a few lawyers who do not want me to discuss that
;)
JBM:
How do you see the adult internet changing in the near future?
EPICJEN:
Fewer cross sales, pay per active cross sale... more reality
and live
cam.... smaller price points on recurring memberships, and
weeding out
affiliates and getting traffic from the source.. no more middle
man
eventually.
JBM:
How do you like working at Epiccash?
EPICJEN:
Epiccash
is great. I keep Trey locked under my desk in a small cage.
He
is only let out for water and sex.
JBM:
Sex, that reminds me, when did you realize you were in love
with me?
EPICJEN:
The moment you swept me off my feet at the tractor pull in
1995. You were
hot with a mullet.
JBM:
What do you do for Epiccash?
EPICJEN:
Simply, I came back into the biz last summer after a few months
off and am pleased
to assist Epiccash
with their affiliate management and customer service.
JBM:
Anything new and exciting coming soon?
EPICJEN:
Epiccash
will be offering weekly payouts in January. Now you can make
not
only the MOST money, but get it more often as well!
JBM:
I think you mentioned some mainstream projects to me once,
are you
involved with mainstream internet?
EPICJEN:
Yes. I am very much involved with a mobile entertainment company.
We
specialize in ringtones and wallpapers etc.
JBM:
Do you find it easier or harder than adult?
EPICJEN:
Both. It is easier to tell my family and friends what I do
for sure!!!
More difficult in that the atmosphere is much different than
what I have
grown accustomed to in these past 12 years. I am finding myself
having to
"tone down" my rather abrasive personality. Business
wise, I find it
neither easier or more difficult. Simply a different medium.
JBM:
Any type of advice you would give to a newbie just starting?
EPICJEN:
M y advice to newbies is: Get out while you can, its saturated
enough as
it is, and with all the new changes our industry faces in
the near future,
you have no chance. hahahahhaha Damn abrasive personality
of mine...
Seriously, just try not to come across as knowing everything
and network
as much as possible. Having someone knowledgeable and well
respected to
talk to and help you out is never a bad thing ;)
JBM:
How do you get most of your business, boards, icq, phone,
or shows?
EPICJEN:
I use a combo of all those tools. Boards are important as
they are
a way to instill your name in the adult community. They help
you develop relationships that would be otherwise impossible
what
with the amount of people that work out of their homes and
are literally
all across the globe. Shows are the best way to insitute your
place in the industry however. I think they are the most important
tool in networking in this business. If you can manage to
keep yourself
out of embarassing JFK pics that is! My icq goes off all day
everyday... It is just the "phone" of the adult
biz I think.
JBM:
Being a female, do you find it hard sometimes to get respect
in this industry?
EPICJEN:
I think you get respect in any situation if you insist upon
it. Being a woman in this biz can either work to your advantage
or sink you depending upon your actions and how you carry
yourself. I think I will just leave it at that.
JBM:
So your saying you never gave oral favors for joins and do
coke off dirty toilet seats?
EPICJEN:
I have only had to give 4 (with protection, I am a safety
girl) and I always carry anti-bacterial wipes with me to wipe
down the seat before I snort.
JBM:
Your a regular at JBM,
why does JBM
make you so happy?
EPICJEN:
Because the asshole ratio is much lower than other boards.
At least when
you have the day off ;)
